Hi all - before I left for vacation I ready about a neat card trick -- that used a blue backed deck with all jokers on the front. AND one double-faced card... a joker and a five of hearts? I bought the deck and double-facer, but for the life of me, I can't find the trick written up anywhere. I was on vacation and now at a loss... I'd appreciate any help.
thanks danny |

Unfortunately I lost lots of my magic notes when I damaged a device they were stored on. Otherwise, I'm sure I could answer your question.
I know I saw something like this on a video (DVD or download) rather than reading it in a book. Possibly on a Penguin Lecture. The effect ends with the performer holding a Joker (presumably having failed to find the spectator's selection). Then they spread the deck to show every card is a Joker. While the audience are registering this surprise, the magician casually raises the [double-facer] card in his hand, so when the audience look up at him again they see he is now holding the selection. I thought it might be by Ed Oschmann - he has an effect called Psychic Fail, which is kind of similar, but does not involve jokers. |
