Each has a safety so no issue worrying about it igniting at an inappropriate time. They also have a battery indicator, so you know how charged up it is. It keeps lighter fluid for a good time. Flame height is great without getting out of control.

I like the long version as I use it to carry items for strolling. I also use the window pocket for a prediction.
