Fellow magic doers--I am so delighted to report that Viking is once again manufacturing the Clock of San Marcos Square (though they have dropped the "square" in the title) and it is currently IN STOCK! And they say they have improved it in some way.

This has been long lost to the mists of time, I think like a decade or so. Back in the day, people were constantly looking for it, despondent that Viking had stopped making it. No need for me to sell you on it; if it's something you've wanted for a long time, now's the time to jump on it!

Even though the description says they’ve sold out, it looks like you can order.

I have an original from Collector’s Workshop. Purchased it from the estate of the late, great Bruce Cervon. It is over 50 years old and still works like a charm!

Very cool oombob--I also have an old one that I was able to snag very cheaply years ago from someone who said it was broken... but turns out it still worked, ha!

And yes, the "sold out" sign is just something they forgot to remove; you can certainly order it now--mine arrived just fine! Viking's website is rampant with mistakes. Even this new Clock of San Marcos is listed as made by "Collecror's" Workshop (misspelled) and that is how it appears on the receipt, lol...

Does a video of this exist anywhere? I'd love to see it in action!

Just curious SETH, does the current version that is on offer compare to the older version? Is everything the same as the original?

The current version is very much like the older version. I like the trick so much that before George made more of them recently, I had 2 older versions in my collection because they were so hard to find. Basically, if someone owned one, they very rarely were selling one or you could not find one available. So, of course when the new version came out, I had to get one. The biggest differences that I noticed between the versions were 1) The Bic Pen provided was different, which isn't a very big deal 2) The older version of the trick is built a little bit more rugged compared to the new one, but I am very happy with the new version as well. I have performed this trick in the past at work for different sized audiences and I have always received great results and reactions from the trick. Overall, I would highly recommend the new version also. It's a great trick!

Thanks for the comparison! Agreed… this is a great trick!
