FSDIU Any Mem Stack - Bandit Slot Machine simulation (no cell phone method)

The slot machine method can be simulated by the magician having prepared 13 blank cards using a black sharpie pen and write the results of each spin onto each card.

The spectators have shuffled a 52 card deck.

The Magician brings out the 13 slot machine cards and false shuffles them. I'll refer to them in this thread as the "Bandit" cards.

The magician deals the first of his 13 Bandit cards onto his own special Bandit pile and the spectators place their normal cards face-up onto the proper pile of the four discard piles. The magician refers to this first Bandit card as "spin 1".

The magician deals the second of his 13 Bandit cards onto his own special Bandit pile and the spectators place their normal cards face-up onto the proper pile of the four discard piles. The Magician refers to this second Bandit card as "spin 2".

Etc.

To create the 13 Bandit cards (If using the mnemonica or Aronson grok videos that I have specified in other threads) then at performance time be sure to consolidate the spectators 4 piles after the 7th Bandit card.

The first spin in those videos specify the first stack card, the 8th card, the 15th, the 22nd cards of the stack. Therefore, the Bandit cards need to specify the same stack cards.

The second Bandit card would specify the 2nd stack card, the 9th card, the 16th card, the 23rd card.

Etc.

If however you want to always do 13 "spins" (no intermediate consolidation after the 7th spin) then, the first Bandit card would specify the 1st stack card, the 14th card, the 27th card, the 40th card.

The second Bandit card would specify the second stack card, the 15th card, the 28th card, the 41st card.

And so on.

At the end of the game (the four discard piles are all face up) the magician picks up the 4th pile and places it face-up on top of the third face-up pile, then all of that is placed face-up on top of the second face-up pile, then all of that is placed on top of the first-face up pile.

Note that if doing only seven spins (the magician keeps the last 24 cards and false shuffles them and adds them at the end of the game) then the magician would only need to carry 7 Bandit cards but they would need to be specified as stated further above.

The magician might want to also carry 4 blank cards that are color coded as orange, green, yellow, blue to simply be "discard pile" indicators. This is helpful but is not absolutely necessary because the magician can simply verbally refer to the first discard pile as the orange pile, the second pile as the green pile, the third pile as the yellow pile, and the fourth pile as the blue pile.

Or just simply refer to them as the first pile, the second pile, the third pile, the fourth pile.
