I'd like to do Mark Mason's No Tear Restored Newspaper, but need three copies of same newspaper to make gimmick.
For my show, I'd like an old time/vintage looking newspaper (just black and white, no photos) But having tough time finding any. There are prop newspapers for theatrical productions, but they sell by the bundle and don't need that many. I've looked at antique/vintage stores and bookshops...but then don't have 3 of same copies. Checked print shops, but they don't print on newspaper, but large enough. Anyone have a source or idea? Thanks!

Check out this business, Prop Papers -
https://www.proppapers.com/ On their FAQ page it says: "Unlike many large newspaper presses, I specialize in single and short runs. I have the ability to print as few or as many newspapers as you need." You say you only need three, not a bundle , but if you perform No Tear a lot ,eventually your paper will wear out and you'll be back to the same problem of trying to replace it. So if it were me, I would get at least 12 identical papers to make up 4 sets, put away 3 sets carefully folded in zip-lock plastic bags to preserve them. If you perform it frequently and expect to do so for many years to come , maybe better to get 24 ? How long does as set usually last you until it wears out ? |

You might take a look at The Wall Street Journal. I don't believe that there is much color in the WSJ.

Not long ago I bought 4 copies of the Sunday paper. There were 7 sections, each section yielded 4-5 of the same pages to use for TNR. A lot of them are just printing with maybe a few black and white pictures.
