I came in at 12:00, and my manager, Marvin, said he thought for sure I was going to call out, due to the storm. I'm watching the RIPTA app to see if they're going to put the #19 (the bus to Walmart) up on "detour" (meaning they won't come up the hill to Walmart) or actually cancel it! While I'm debating going home, I hear we're going to close at 3:00. While I'm telling people this, the main manager walks by at about 1:20 calling out; "The store is closing in ten minutes!" They made an announcement and everyone had to get their stuff together and get out!

I've been here since 2003, I can tell you the store has NEVER been closed due to weather in the time I've been here. We were closed once due to a blackout that ruined the frozen foods, but NEVER weather!

(I had one incident where we DIDN'T close for the weather, and the #19 WAS cancelled! A bus showed up that was supposed to go from Walmart back to the garage on Elmwood Avenue. As I lived on Elmwood Avenue at that time, I begged him to let me ride to the garage and was able to walk home from there!)
