My wife and I are beginning to plan our slow travel retirement outside the U.S. Knowing that I would be carrying some props with me while travelling, she asked if playing cards were banned in any countries. I thought it was a reasonable question, so I did a little searching. While there doesn’t appear to be laws specifically banning playing cards, there are of course many countries with strict anti gambling laws, with Thailand being among the strictest. Has anybody here ever been hassled for playing with your deck in public when traveling outside the U.S.?
