Harry, is the Schneider routine the one with the Adams set? I covet that one.
Patrick, yes, in my excitement I tend to jump too far ahead for my current skills. I'll look at Wilson's routine. It's a great book, but the print is so small I tend to shy away from it. I'd be curious to hear about your no-load routine if you care to share it. I assume the ending you describe provides enough of a climax that you don't need anything as dramatic as a final load? Thanks, folks... Bob |

The Mark Wilson "Complete Course in Magic" Is an oversized book with fairly large (12 pt. or larger) the and well illustrated. The smaller paperback is the titled "Cyclopedia of Magic" and does have smaller type face and smaller illustrations. The large hard-back volume is fairly reasonable around $20.00 USD and I've seen it as inexpensive at $9.00 If you search around. I ought three at Barns and Noble book seller on sale for $9.00 a couple years ago. I kept one and gave two away as gifts.
The Schneider routine I mentioned is His "LA Cups" seen on the L&L video and his "Al Schneider Magic" book wherein the final load is preloaded from the start and uses regular cups (although Adams or any opaque cup could probably be used). His routine using the small, colorful, plastic Adams cups was published 1980 titled "Close up Magic", is long out of print. and the last item I the book is the Adams Cups routine you mentioned. The routine is titled "Quick Cups". Al is a member of the Cafe even if nowadays he doesn't show up much, but you could look him up and get his email and write him directly. He may have that routine available. He is a nice guy to talk to.

Thanks, Harry. Yes, he's been very helpful to me on the cafe in the past. He's a deep thinker and an unassuming man, an unbeatable combination.
I have the disk you mentioned, so I'll watch LA Cups again. Even though I watched it a few years ago, the "pre-loaded" cup didn't register for me! If I have questions I'll follow your suggestion and try to contact Al directly. Even Wilson's hardback is hard on my eyes. Too bad, because people rave about it. |
