Hello everyone,
I’m 57 and thinking about starting a second act in magic. Years ago, I worked as a kid show performer. I loved it—making kids laugh, high energy, lots of fun. But looking back, I feel like I was performing magic shows more than actually being a magician. The tricks were there to support the show, not the focus. Now I’m interested in going deeper into the craft—close-up, sleight of hand, stronger presentation, and creating real moments of mystery. Has anyone here made a similar transition later in life? Any advice on where to focus or how to shift from entertainer to magician? Appreciate any guidance. Richard |
