I recently bought this card sword at auction without any documentation. It was advertised as Owen (which I didn't believe), the tip and elastic are there. The tip is plastic which I don't think is true of the better swords, although it's metal and well cast and about 36". Can anybody identify it or have ideas?

What I really need help with is handling/maintenance/routine for this- what I think is a "Merv Taylor' style of sword. I've had El duco's and I'm familiar with the type where cards are hidden in guard/hilt and then elastic is released during card shower. Handling has to be different since there is no guard/hilt to hide cards although elastic/tip is the same. Can anybody help an old magician out with instructions or other? Thanks and Happy Easter!

Never mind- I found what I needed on Merv Taylor sword routine. I still don't know the maker- it's very similar to the Taylor but has a slightly different elastic hold/release method.

That is a Taylor sword and if it has a plastic tip I suspect the original was lost and the plastic replacement was made. Tip….for replacement heavy elastic look at the elastic used in tent poles.
