Hey everyone!
Its great to finally discover a Magicians forum made by magicians for magicians! Ive been what I suppose you could describe as a "hobbyist" for about 15 years, performing mostly to friends, family and various parties. Its been a long time coming but ive decided to finally take my magic to "the next level", but haven't the first clue how to begin! Do I need to join an agency? or can I do it independently? (which I'd prefer) How do I go about getting bookings at the restaurants/bars I want to appear at? anyway, I hope to learn a lot from fellow magicians at magic Café, and you never know...maybe some new friends! Thanks for reading my post! Justin (The Strider)

Welcome, Justin.
As a hobbyist myself, and from Norfolk, there is a wealth of information and assistance waiting to be tapped. Whatever their standing, professional, magic icon, or humble amateur, people here are (generally) happy to pass on tips, reading reccommendations, and assistance ( without giving away too much, of course ). Enjoy the Café.
We're having a laugh!
