A new study finds infrasound (frequencies below hearing thresholds around 20hz) are largely responsible for feelings of a place being haunted.
I'm an audio engineer and have the tools to generate such frequencies (synths, large subwoofers, etc). Can we use such methods for seances, or more bizarre atmospheres? Let's see (or hear).... https://boingboing.net/2026/04/28/study-......ngs.html |

The amount of people used is not really effective. You need to use hundreds of volunteers for a real study!!!!

I would love to use this for added texture to a spooky performance, but I sure wouldn’t count on it as my primary effect.
