Hey people. I wanted to reintroduce myself.

When I joined here years ago I was a hobbyist doing the occasional happy hour in NYC or a small house party here and there.
Life was busy with so many other things.

Fast forward a decade. I left my corporate job. I’m no longer married. I’m living in Florida. But I’m in year 2 of being a working professional.
I have a show called Alex Trendler Reads Your Mind which plays in residency at several locations around North Florida and South Georgia. I have a full plate of private events and gigs. I’m keeping very busy.

I know it’s likely small potatoes compared to what some of you are doing here but I’ve been on our local news station every month doing magic and promoting my events. They’ve let me swallow needles, demonstrate mind reading and honestly everything in between. Even if it’s only local news, being on TV feels cool as hell and it’s great social proof for marketing my ticketed events.

I’m incredibly grateful that I get to be doing this.
Year one I was doing different material all over the place and really trying to dial in what I wanted to be doing on stage. Now I’ve got a rock solid 80 mins that I keep the same from show to show every night so I can refine that material as much as possible.
This gives me a ton of time to focus more on booking and management of my show as a business.

I’m 40 and as much as I wish I had taken this leap in my 20’s all I can say is I’m glad I’ve finally done it at all.
