I've been quietly working on a web app called Headliner for magicians and mentalists to manage props, effects, set lists, and performance history. It's actually live now with a few people using it, but before I push it further I want to sanity-check the freemium limits with people who might actually use/want something like this.

Current free tier:
* 30 effects/props
* 20 resources (books, videos, etc.)
* 4 set lists
* 10 logged performances
(The paid tier adds unlimited everything plus PDF reports (packing list and set lists), and venue profiles.)

My gut says a hobbyist with a modest working repertoire would be fine on free forever, and I'm okay with that. I'm genuinely not sure if some of those numbers are too tight. Obviously I'll want at least some paying customers to help pay for the monthly cost, so I can't make everything free, but I do want a free tier that a lot of hobbyists could make use of without ever paying a cent.

Would any of those limits make you ditch it before you even got started?

Not fishing for signups, just want honest feedback from performers who've thought about this stuff.

After talking to a few people I've decided to increase the limit for effects and resources to 100 each for the free tier. That will be available by Sunday (May 31). Thanks for the feedback.

I was going to suggest 100, so I'm glad that seems to be consensus.
