Hi, does anyone have any tips on applying a new Cellophane wrapper to a card box?
I have just received numerous flat sheets of cellophane specifically for apllying to card boxes. However, I was expecting the new sheets/wrappers to come as 'tubes' that you could slip the card box into. and then (somehow) seal the top and bottom flaps. It looks like you have to use the sheets like you are wrapping a present. Just wondering whether it's just a case of fighting with double sided tape or is there an easier way? Thanks Gerry |

You can actually use many surfaces to supply the heat. Hair curling or hair straightening irons Hot plates Household clothing iron However, you will have to experiment with whatever you try to get the settings properly adjusted to give you the correct heat. Too much heat and the the cellophane will melt away while too little heat will leave little to no strength in the seal. |

I have never tried, but I'm familiar with cellophane. First, make sure it's actually cellophane paper (Yes I say paper, using a lighter, burn a corner of it, and it should burn as if it was paper, if it shrinks itself, it's not pure cellophane).
After that, one thing you could try, cut it as closer to the size you need as possible, or a bit bigger, you can correct later. Using a water sprayer, spray the cellophane, so it soaks a bit and gets more maleable, remove excess moisture and wrap the tuck case, using an iron, iron the side of it (Not so hot, do some trial and error) After this, fold the ends and again, using the iron, iron them so they seal. Once the excess moisture is gone, it will "flatten" itself and get tighter. Hope this works. Never tried for tuck cases, but I used to do this to wrap TV remote controls. |

If I wanted to give the impression of a brand new deck sealed in cellophane, I would open the cellophane carefully at the bottom, then glue it closed again.

Magic is all around us we just have to be willing to see it.
