"If you tear it first and burn it after" that's not really my style, I actually even don't like to tear it in the first place.
When I eventually do tear a billet I say to the spec "Please Imagine your word written on your forehead and a big white screen right behind me. As I tear this billet I will symbolicly release your word from the paper everytime I make a tear, will you please at the same time release your word from your forehead, right through me an onto the screen - please visuallypush your word through me an onto the screen". That explains why I tear 3 times, because for every tear I get a lttle more from the spectator. (I do not look at the billet while I tear). Now as for burning, I think it makes perfect sense in the Bob Cassidy routine where its an elimination process, meaning there is no heat on the burned billet - hence you are not reading anything from the smoke you are simply eliminating a billet. |
