I saw a magic book that showed a picture of knit billiard balls, like the ones from cups and balls but big. The shell was half of an aluminum ball with the knit covering. Who makes these sets, where can I get them? Any help would be appreciated. ~Tim

You can pretty easily find 2" knit load balls for cups and balls routines, but I have never seen a shell.

Your post sure brings back some old memories.
I purchased a set of those balls and shells back when I was 11 years old (1976). And I used it in the first manipulation routine I ever performed. By some freak coincidence I was just telling a magic friend about yesterday! The set you saw in that book was manufactured my Morrissey Magic of Canada. I don't know if they are still being produced. If I saw a set today I would probably purchase it just for sentimental reasons. Levent

Those of you here that don't know Levent... I put him in the top three funny guys that worked clubs... (not in any particular order).... Levent Kozak Hobson (Mac King is in another category)

I purchased my set of knit multiplying balls from http://www.browsersden.com They sold for $20.00 Canadian (that converts to about $15 USD). You get three balls and a shell. The balls look like larger versions of the balls you would normally use in a cups and balls routine.

Dear Uncle Pete:
You are way too kind! I'm writing this from my hotel room at MAGIC LIVE 2004. I had hoped that you would be here. Perhaps we shall run into each other somewhere down the road. Levent

Morrissey Magic makes crocheted (knitted) multiplying billard balls with the shells. You should be able to purchase them at the various magic websites.
