I would go with cardian angel or ash pen. You could also put a name on the back of a card then put it second from the top do a false cut or two and double lift show them the card act like you put there name on it cut it into the deck and find there card with there name on it good keep sake for them.

A couple of things I noticed, PXS mentioned Deep Astonishment by Paul Harris. This is an excellent trick, but not so much to reveal a spectators name, due to the limited amount of letters you can use. Most names have 5, 6, or more letters making it difficult to pull off with deep astonishment. It is a great trick though.... Frostgale, I may be mistaken, but I think ghostwriter is a pen that reveals a selected card. I think you are talking about the ghost glass, or spirit glass, which also is the revelation of a card, not a name. Let me know if I'm wrong. Matt Redd
