I've never done any mentalism, but would be interested in adding a few items to my walk-around routines/ Any suggestions for books/DVDs?

Watch the movie Leap of Faith with Steve Martin. I'm almost positive his character does something in a diner. I think he does it after sponge balls, and it killed.

Mark Striving's book "Mobile Mentalism", I believe, has to do with walk-around mentalism.
Other then that, I would just say the necessities like center tears and writers. Things like that.

I would also suggest doing as many effects as possible where notations, pictures, predictions, etc., are written/drawn on the back of you business card, so you can leave it with the spectator as a 'souvenir of the weird experience.'

As much as I'm not really a fan of cards, I seem to be getting good at using them.
I think Mr. Osterlind's BCS is perfect for walk-around. H.W
