No, we are talking about the same prop, again I never said there was a sliding gimmick. I said the gimmick itself or the 50/50 sun and moon coin as you call it slides around on the coin. Maybe I should change my words. The 50/50 sun and moon coin as you call it MOVES around and does require very careful handling of the coin. This thread asked for a review, I posted the problem I found to have with the set, and I have two of them. Both sets have the same problem. I am not here to sell you a coin set. My income comes from perfroming magic full time and I can tell you I can't use this prop because of it's touchyness. I need something that will be sure fire, I can not show both sides of the coin and KNOW that it will not flash the method. I love the idea of the set and they look great but they will not be used in real world performing for me.
Nothing of the same will bring any change, take action today!

Hello Pete at Ronjo again. I did respond to this before and when I came to take a look my post was not there. Strange.
Anyway. I have seen this trick advertised elsewhere stating 3 routines. Maybe they update the instructions somehow but I just assumed that it was a typo and they meant to say 3 changes? The coins we carry, never come in contact with one another, no possibliity of sliding, flashing or talking. If ever the routine was updated where you stack both coins, faliure would be eminent. And also the routine would not make sense. Plain and Simple. You get one solid one piece, Sun & Moon Coin that you turn over to change color. And then you switch it for another solid one piece single color coin that can be examined. No risk, no fail. So long for now. |

I have been thinking this over for a bit. As we carry four differnt Chinese Coin products from Joker Magic (and I am aware of one of the nesting shell set that at this time we do not sell). It is my assumption that there is another Color Changing set that they have put out that we are not aware of. That must have a disc that covers the sun & moon coin to show it to be one color on both sides? Similar to the color changing CD's? Just a guees. Thanks Pete.

I wonder if some of the confusion stems from the fact that Ronjo is referring to the gimmicked Chinese coin as a "Sun & Moon" coin.
To me, the term "Sun & Moon" refers to the two-piece coin set popularized by Al Goshman. It consists of a copper/silver coin and an English Penny shell. But the Ronjo posts seem to describe only one gimmicked coin, a double-faced one. As far as I know, that's not really a Sun & Moon gimmick. Perhaps this is part of the problem? SETH

Hello,
Pet at Ronjo once more. This set does not come with a shell coin, nor a disc such as a Palming Coin. To me a Sun & Moon Coin is a generic name for a Copper Silver Coin. So that does sound like part of the problem. Only two coins come withthe set that started this thread. Hope that cleasrs it al up. Pete |

Okay guys. Pete at Ronjo again. We reordered this effect and guess what we were sent? The OTHER Joker Magic Chinese Coin Color Change! This is the one you all think we were selling. I see the "sliding problem" you all mention. And we will be sending these back and attempt to reorder the other ones again. I will post for the last time whne we get more of them. On a side note, for those of yo uthat already own the gimmicked version, why show both sides black? Why not change it from black to red, then yo may show both sides red. And finally pass out the blue for examination? Or better yet to show both sides black, do a sort of Head Twister type turn around? I actually like this version (but I do not think it is neccassary or better than the type we already sell). I am returning them becasue it seams to be getting a bad rap (and it is a bit expensive). So that is that. They make two versions of a similar effect. Done Deal.

Thanks, Pete, for clearing up the mystery about your Color Changing Coins.
I think we now know everything we always wanted to know about double-faced Sun/Moon Copper/Silver coins, and them some! <g> SETH

We are selling these coins. I was playing around with them and they're ok but you do have to be careful in your handling. I felt the price was too high too.
They are basically like the color changing chips. If your looking for a novelty coin effect this could do it for you.

Daniel, thank you for your thoughts. It sounded like the Magnet made everything examinable. No?

Okay I leied, One more post. There is one with out a magnet (avalable at ronjo.com) and one with a magnet not availble with us. Reasons the magnetci one is not avaaible by us.
1. We didn't know it existed until yesturday. 2. They are pricy for what you get. Well made but harder to use than The original Traffic Light for which it is based on (about $10.00) and not much different than Kamelieon Koins Or Black & White Surprise, etc. 3. Too much work involved in using it compared to the less gimmicked version. 4. The Chinese coins we sell will not match the magnet set becasue the chinese writing is flat on the magnetic set. 5. The handling described is not realistic. 6. Both are good sets. The magnetic set will require YOU to come up with a better presantation than described. The Sun & Moon Set is the same effect with a differnt method (easier to do then the very gimmicked set) And looks nicer too. In the end both are 100% examinable. The mag set is well made but looks suspicious and rightfully so. Have a nice weekend. Pete |
