The Grimoire Collectors Lament
(a somewhat tongue in cheek groan-inducer)

Through my trembling fingers like
the serpent in the tomb
have slipped those tomes - by His hands wrought
and wove on a jet-black loom

Such terrors and such mysteries
with which to freeze the Hearts of men!
(for a mere three thousand bucks)
Will they ere come my way again?

For That scroll of Mystery
I'd sell what soul I've left
I am a shadow of a man
A soul of stone, bereft

What laughing Demon had it writ
to want so bad material things -
like the Four Books by Andruzzi
or Aleister Crowley's rings?

(He gesticulates, making odd sigils in the air.)

....Yet one day, as sure as
the tingles on your spine
Those books from Hell I will compel
The Dark Gods make them Mine!

(He calms down and sighs.)

I must be content today
to write a Pagan passion play
where Things of stone with Monstrous eyes
die one thousand times - then grimly rise...

I love that poem Charles!

I know how you feel, it was like coming across the Holy Grail, the Sangreal, and wondering what was worth more - food and shelter or finally having the frickin Holy Grail! Or Unholy Grail as the case might be. And what would we bear for failing to heed the call of the Unspeakable One?

****ed if you do, ****ed if you don't.

Charles, Sorry you missed getting the books. I did, however, just notice that there is a copy of Andruzzi's Negromicon being offered on E-bay.

The tome on eBay went for a good price, although it was listed very poorly. A lot of people use searches to find items and Andruzzi or Bizarre was nowhere in the description. I wouldn't have found it if Mitch hadn't pointed it out.

Needless to say I have add "ye Mage" to my searches.
