Hi Eveyone.
I was interested in getting the Kaps Fire Wallet. I found some of the reviews to be positive and some negative. How long after the set-up can you perform the fire trick? How durable is the gimmick? Is it a jacket wallet or a pants wallet? Thanks. All the best, Michael |

I got mine about a year ago and still use it frequently. I'm not sure how long you can fill it beforehand but I love mine! It is more of a jacket wallet but I carry mine in mine front pants pocket. The gimmick if pretty durable(mine hasnt broken on me yet!). I love mine and recomend it for anyone.

Thank You very much Yzetadrummer.
What situations do you use the fire (when you pay the bill at a restaurant, or on the street just for fun)? Thanks. All the best, Michael |

I use the Kaps wallet as well I have never had a problem with the wallet. I have had mine for a few years. Several wallets like this on the market go to a good magic shop and ask to see a few and make your decision from there. Just remember that if you ask to see it at the magic shop and they spend there time showing it to you that you should do your best to give them your business.

I usually use the wallet using a card trick. I start having someone pick a card and sign it and tell them that if I don't find their card they get all the money in my wallet. So they give me their card and I take it and leave it sticking out of the deck. Then I reach in my pocket and take out my wallet and put it out on the table. Then I push in their card into the deck and shuffle up the cards. Then using a pop out move I pop out a card and show it. Since it is not their card, I say " well this trick usualy works, so I guess I owe you some money." saying that as I'm picking up my wallet, then as I'm talking I light the wallet and I look like I don't notice. Then look at it and look suprised. Then shut the wallet, and open it up to show the regular inside to show no burns and open up the zipper pocket and inside there is a card, with their signature on it their card is in it! I love this trick and you can make a routine or use whatever. I got this one from a video on penguinmagic.com (they no longer have it) Hope this helps!

I would not reccomend this, if you keep the flame too long itll burn the wallet and if you don't have enough gas on it it wont light and you need alot!!!
And you have to put gas in it right before you do the trick Well that's my input thanks |

Magish,
How long are you keeping it open? Just like any fire effect the longer you keep something lit the more chances you have of something going wrong. The effect is supposed to be visual and starteling not something that you keep lit for minutes at a time. Regarding the fule if you use lighter fluid on the wick and keep it closed other than when using it, you should have no problem I have loaded mine and used it throught a whole walk around evening without ever having to re-fule.

Can anyone suggest a method for 100 percent ignition?
I'm all over the Fire Wallet thread because I just started to burn things.

The Kaps wallet does get hot if it is used frequently in succession. If you're using it frequently in walk around you might limit the amount of fire time during each use.

Magishn46 If you read the instructions it says that you should not leave the wallet burning for more than 4 seconds. And the wallet that you bought was an imitations one which sucks. (hahah I know him he is my partner in our magic shows)

I don't leave it burn for more than a moment or two. that's all you need for them to see it. I think leaving it go too long sopmehow lessens the impact of FIRE!
