I'm working on an effect where like block heads, I will be inserting a needle into my nasal cavity. Needless to say, I more then likely will have to remove the needle with some sort of slight.
Challenge- Any one have a way to fake the fluid, or get rid of the fluid from the syringe with out having to actually inject it into the nose? |

Hmm...I work in a hospital and use syringes all the time, and I know that the rubber stopper that 'pushes' the fluid through the needle is a very tight fit against the barrel of the syringe. So, I wonder if by using a dry-erase marker to color the inside of the barrel and then depressing the plunger, it would look like the fluid disappeared as it was wiped away by the rubber stopper. Coloring the inside of the barrel might be painstaking, though. Just a thought. Hope it helped!

The easy way is to use a faked syringe that looks like it contains a red liquid (blood?) and has a retractable, spring-loaded needle. It's sold as more of a joke than a magic item. Should be available in novelty shops. I had one once that I bought from Magic, Inc.

Yep, the dry erase is a little hard to do. Living in chicago magic inc should be easy to get to.
