I am going to produce some silks on stage. After that I will be using it to produce something else. What would be the appropriate size of the silk?

I wouldn't recommend going any smaller than 18" on stage, even they appear small. Ideally, you are talking 24" for stage silk productions.

I agree. Nothing smaller than 18" or they will look like tiny hankies. The size will have to be determined by what you are producing and the number of silks you want to produce for cover.

Let's also factor in how gutsy you are.

The measure Tony Slydini gave me for determining the right size silk for you on stage is to cross your arms like you were going to signal a baseball player
"safe". Touch the two elbows together. Then measure from ball of thumb to ball of thumb on the other hand.

The better method he gave me was to straighten your arm and then measure from the ball of your thumb to the arm pit.

In both cases, you want to use the largest silk you can without letting the top center sag when you cross your arms in front of you. For most of us that is a 24" silk.

You can use a 36" silk on stage if you are at least 51" tall at the shoulder. Otherwise, when held diagonally, the silk will touch the floor.
