This two effect look quite the same to me, both video can be seen on Hocus-pocus. I was just wondering if some people could compare the both and give their opinion on wich one is the best and why ?

I thout the video on Ulysses looked much better than the kennedy effect.

I also thought that the ulysses video looked much better but I'm sure you could achieve exactly the same effect with the flight deck, I think it is just a difference on the routine. I'd like to know wich one handled much easier and smoother.

I have both of these items and I never cared for the Ulysses coin through deck. I found it absolutely unreliable in performance. Sometimes the mechanism operated correctly and sometimes it did not. Also, once the preparation was done to perform the effect, the coins would become misaligned if the card case was placed in my pocket causing it to malfunction during the performance. I do not use Ulysses anymore for coins into glass. The version manufactured by Collectors Workshop, although not operated by remote, is much more reliable.
The Kennedy coins to glass is an excellent item. It works every time and there is a relatively simple re-set if you do walk around. While Kennedy's coin to glass is only a simgle coin to glass as opposed to multiple coins, I would definetley recommend Kennedy's Flight Deck over Ulysses.

The Ullyses effect is electronic whereas the one manufactured by Collector's Workshop is non-electronic. Because it is non-electronic, it is more reliable. The one manufactured by Collector's Worksop was called Coin Classic. It came either in a red or blue bicycle card case and with two heavy cut plastic tumblers. The tumblers are meant to be used for the vanishing of the 4 coins and the reproduction but are not required. Any glasses can be used.
I do not know if Collectors Workshop, now owned by Mr. George Robinson, is making them anymore. You can cehck out the websit of Collectors Workshop and/or Viking Magic. Best regards, Michael

Can someone please tell me if it is possible for the spec to specify when the coin will drop when using the flight deck?

No. But why would you want the spectator to anyway. You are the magician who causes the effect to happen, not the spectator. Kennedy's Flight Deck is a multi-phase coin penetration effect which uses a mechanism that is 100% reliable and the slieght of hand needed to accomplish the vanish and penetration of the coin is minimum. In fact, the FLight Deck does the vanish and reappeance for you. I highly recommend it.

>why would you want the spectator to anyway
Just had a new idea... without all the facts on the device it was only half-baked. >You are the magician who causes the effect to happen Thats true, the effect I wanted to happen was for the spec to specify. But based on what I have read here at the Café, I will purchase this product. Thanks for the comments magicinsight... I am only new here but I already love this place. |
