What do you guys/gals put in goodie bag giveaways? How much stuff? Magic tricks or non-magical toys?
Also, how much and what stuff do you put in magic kits for the birthday child? Is there a place to buy these already made up? If so, for how much? Thanks a lot. Jim
Oh, my friend we're older but no wiser, for in our hearts the dreams are still the same...

I just reward helpers with either a toy or a balloon model I never give away magic like that because when they know about secrets and gimmicks and that sort of thing they will be looking for it in all your tricks. They think its not magic anymore

I give away a bag of treats at the end of my show (suckers, jubjubes etc...)
And for the birthday child I give a cake (from a trick) and ball and vase trickand treats and a magic wand! |

I give all the kids a bag each at the start of the party (the bags have all of my promo printed on them).
The bags are empty but I tell them that they will be able to put things in them that they receive as we go along. This seems to create an air of fun expectation. I do 2 lolly productions in the show and the kids put the lollies straight into their bags (keeps them from munching them during the show and making a mess with papers and sticky hands etc.) The second lolly production is seasoned with balloons (with my promo printed on them) they go into the bags as well. Apart from the above I have a little competition that sees each kiddie receive a prize and these too go into the bags. So by the end of the party they have a bag of goodies, a fair amount of your promo and the host house is clean and tidy. That's the way I do it, I hope it is of some help to you. Cheers Billy |
