Is the stealth retractor better than the originals?

I would contact Mark Allen about his Underground TM.
It is the original that most thread reels were based off of. |

If you are not experienced with invisible thread why don't you start with the Loops by Yigal Mesika. This will give you an idea on handling, lighting and initially you won't have the trouble of fixations.

John Kennedy has recently upgraded his stealth retractor.

Another recommendation for loops - easy to be 'ready to go' at all times.

Stealth Retractor and an ITR have different uses so it's very hard to say which is better because they serve different purposes. The retractor is more of a "Pull" while the ITR is more of a "Reel" in magic terms. I personally love them both.
For effects such as floating bill, napkin, cigarette, flying card and so forth the ITR is most useful. I use the ITR much more often then the restractor. The Stealth retractor is better used to cause objects to fly or move to you. I've often combined the two. For instance point to a bill on the table. Make it fly to my hand. Then I make it float with the ITR. So I wouldn't say either is better. Just different. Ron Jaxon |

I agree with Ron.
But, knowing what I know now, I would certainly START with loops. No anchoring and lots of fun and amazement. Peace, Parson

I agree with Ron too.
Basically you need to know what it is that you want to achieve. By that I mean the type of effect you want to perform. |
