There is a great article in the Linking Ring about storytelling, and how much effect it has on your effects.

A wonderful story telling resource / advice center is:
http://www.thestorytelling-resource-centre.com/ There is a lot of good stuff on this page! Personally I think good magick is made up of three aspects, 1. Story Telling, 2. Dynomite Presentation/Performace & 3. Impacting Powerful Outcomes (loosey outlined). On Eugene Burger's Video "Eugene Goes Bizarre" Tony Andruzzi urged all bizarre magick newcomers to take vocal lessons & pick up a copy of GQ magazine, to learn how to dress! If you have natural talent & a strong character identification, I don't nessesarily agree wit him. But on another note, what I do is take true stories/situations from real-life events in my life and weave them into an effect, for me it makes everything more believable etc. Work with your enviornment & imagination, and I'm sure you can come up with tons of personalized ideas for stories. Also like mentioned previously, be sure to "catalog" every story you come across, even if you can't use it right away, you never know, it could very possibly come in handy one day. There is nothing better than having a database of material (stories) you can consult & refer to, being 10 steps ahead of yourself is less work for you in the long run! -- Krossbearer
