Thanks to 'Mondo Magic', my interest in IT is peaked again.
I am considering buying "Hummer Card", but I DO have Ammar's ETMTM #2, which describes 'his' "I.T.R. Whirling Card". ' Would it be worth buying 'Hummer Card' as well? Thanks.

What is the cost? I find that if you really like an effect you buy ALL THE VERSIONS -- you learn something from all of them.

Wow I wish I had that much money to buy every version of a single effect...

Actually, I ended up buying HC as well, and kind of glad I did. Kind of. I'm just annoyed that I knew the basic principle behind it, but couldn't come up with the full explanation. A little more thought into it, and I probably could've.
Oh well, may as support the creator, right?

I'd say hummer card, with enough practice, can look really cool.

I have HC and is great.
I also bought the The Perfect Th**d to use it with HC and It is much better, since you can perform in broad daylight!

O.K. I have a question I have been doing IT work for a long time so I figured I didn't need the hummer I pretty much did my own, with my animator hook up.But I also saw that mondo magic episode and I liked how smooth that dude in that Café did his version.. was that the hummer card?

Yes I just bought a book and it showed that entire routine exactly the way that guy Shimshi I think his name was. The book is by Jensen and it's great.

I haven't bought one of Mesika's Spider Pens yet (and I haven't watched Ammar's ETMTM #2 or #3), but the Spider Pen seems like the perfect answer to doing the Hummer Card using an ITR type device.

What is the name of the particular effect Shimshi did where the credit card seems to jump back and forth? I saw this once in The Greatest Magic in Las Vegas, it was performed by Kevin James with a tissue paper. The same thing David Copperfield did on his special. I have the HC but only few routines are included, until now I can't figure it out how does that card jump even on the lady's hand. What video explains this? Any help is much appreciated.. thanks to all...

I can't really imagine doing a Hummer card type effect with any ITR, especially the Spider Pen. I would imagine you would want a stationary IT. Not having a two point anchor, trying to balance IT tension with card weight would make it unnecessarily difficult. "Locking" the IT with one hand would defeat the illusion that you're not hooked to the card in some way. As far as I can tell, this is one of those tricks that is already good enough. Any *improvement* is just going backward.
