I thought I might be able to make a silk poke out of an empty 35mm film can and some clear tubing from the hardware store. My biggest problem has been finding a glue that will stick to the plastic that the film canister is made out of and the pvc that the tubing is made out of. If anyone has personal experience with a glue that will work for this, or have built their own silk poke with other materials or methods I would appreciate your advice.

I would make them out of Fuji film containers (tan colored), the cap of a bic pen, and duct tape. Not "pretty" but always worked well.
Otherwise, a two-part epoxy with "plastic" on its usage list would work. Just be sure to rough up the two surfaces with a heavy grit sand paper, then wash out the left-over material. Once dry, glue. |
