Hello all~
I have been out of performing for about 5 years. I want to get back into it. I don't know though what the best way is to get back into it. I mainly in the past performed for children and family audiences. I want to go some where with my magic but not sure where. My mentor is David Ginn, but I have also studied Brian Flora and Mark Wilson. I really like Mark Wilson's magic approach, but I really want me to be me. Any ways to come up with my new approach to being me? |

If you want to be you, don't ask it from us, you just have to find it yourself Otherwise you wont be you

Guess what Iam asking what things should be thought of when developing a character? I really don't want to do a full comedy show like I was doing way back when.

A few things to consider:
1. What is your target audience? 2. What effects do you like to perform? 3. Will these effects play to your target audience? When you have answered these questions, you should move on from there. I think Mark Wilson is a fabulous choice to study when developing routines, character, or effects. The premise of many of the effects I perform comes from things I have learned from reading Mark Wilson's books. |
