I plan on using the Wacky Wolf Funhouse in my Christmas show.
I was wondering what would be a good thing to produce for a Christmas show? Thanks |

Two quick ideas: Any kind of giveaway for the kids: Candy, toys, etc. Or something that ties into another routine.

Hi,
I currently use my Funhouse in every kids show I do. I produce one of two things. Either a bunch of tiny balloon dogs (like a dozen in different colors) or for the bigger shows I produce a bunch (about 10) fuzzy little rainbow colored bears. I found the bears at "oriental trader" or "trading" magazine. Also online (do a search). They make a ton of different give away prizes. They have a whole catalog of Christmas give aways. I am sure that you could find some Christmas bears, or something great to give away there. The nice thing is it's pretty cheap. I found a dozen 4" bears in rainbow colors for under $5 a dozen. Give it a shot and let us know what you do. Keith

Hey....that's my idea about the dozen or so tiny balloon dogs...remember that! I use it in every birthday party. I don't wanna use it in the bigger festival public type shows, then all the kids have seen it. I use the tiny balloon dogs as giveaways for the assistants during the rest of the show.
I have also used some balloon-animal design stuffed (and they squeak) animals I found at Wal-Mart. They're on sale for $2.50 in the toy department. I have found a really cute pink pig, a lion, a giraffe and something else that I can't remember. Check 'em out. They're too expensive for most giveaways, but they look really good if your balloon (that pops) is the same color. Steve Thomas |

Sorry I failed to credit you Steve, I couldn't remember who came up with that, it's good stuff! Our Walmart didn't have those balloon animal plushies, I would have been all over that.

Love the idea for producing the balloon dogs. I have just received my Funhouse. I am planning to get a rabbit next summer. Now I don't know too much about live animal productions, but it seems quite a small place for a rabbit to sit. Also it has to sit at an angled level which I'm a bit concerned about. Is this normal for this kind of apparatus?

Mark,
My rabbit hated the Funhouse, that's why I started using the balloon animals and teddy bears on occasion. My rabbit fit just fine, he just didn't want to be in there no matter how many times we practiced with treats and the like. He was pretty hyper too though, yours may be fine. Best of luck. Keith

Mark,
The load chamber I created in the Funhouse is very standard. If it was any larger the box would be a MONSTER SIZE. The standard "rabbit" box is actually designed for a DWARF RABBIT which are way cooler because they eat less, are very cute and make little rabbit poopies Also, the load chamber being set at an angle is very standard as well. If your rabbit is cool with the dark chamber, he will form fit into the chamber as well. Remember, NEVER leave your Rabbit in the chamber for an extended period of time!! I really should post on my website the actual size of the chamber. Thanks for supporting my company. Keith...you are a great guy! We need you on our PR TEAM!! Thanks as usual for your support in the Café as well as buying EVERY product we make ( at least very close to every one ) Take care, Chance Wolf's Magic

Chance,
You are VERY welcome. I wouldn't say it if I didn't truly feel that way about your props, your company and you personally. I wish I did have EVERY prop, I could really use a set of those discontinued side tables, and a few other ideas that you have dropped on me and vise versa! Keith

I have noticed people saying they do tiny balloon dogs. What size ballons are you using and where do you get them?

I am not 100% sure but they are probably referring to balloon animal balloons which are 260e size balloons (pencil balloons) you can get at most party stores or directly through Qualitex.com or through other magic and clown supply stores.

I have been using regular 260 balloons for the little animals. I twist a very small dog essentially. You could call it a mouse, it looks like a mouse I guess. Just do a regular dog, but with only inflating the balloon about 4-5 inches. I stuff 10 or so of these dogs in the Funhouse and let er' rip.
I usually do that for birthday parties so every kid can have one. At fairs and large events I use plushies and the child who helps me with the routine keeps one. At adult shows (YES I use this for adult shows) I produce 2 doves using Chance's dove ledge attachement. It's a shelf for the doves to sit on. If you need one, they are like $10 on his site. The shelf is black and blends nicely. Adults love this routine when we use the birds. I get a ton of gasps when the balloon pops. The funny thing is, I use essentially the same routine for kids and adults, minus a few balloon gags with the adults. It just seems to work. Good luck, Keith

Hey...thanks. The balloon doggie idea was mine first (as I jog for lead position) as I remember, and I still use it. Another idea (I posted this earlier, too) is to get some of the STUFFED balloon animal things (check your local WalMart, $2.50 each) to use as a giveaway for the birthday child, depending upon age, and it fits right into the Funhouse!

I have the Wacky Wolf Funhouse and I love this prop! I have used it to produce a variety of objects. Stuffed animals, live animals, balloon animals are just scraping the surface of what you can produce. Lately I have been using it to produce Rocky (Spring animal). If I wedge him in just right, when he appears, his nose sticks out through the bars. I then go into my Rocky routine. I purchased 20 gross of Party Poppers just to use with this prop. Taking the cap off the party popper and adding some confetti and replacing the cap will make it better. Some advice if you want to get one of these quailty Wacky Wolf Funhouses is GET ON THE LIST by sending an email to Chance magician@wolfsmagic.com. It's not likely you will find these for sale (I'd never part with mine) and the short production runs sell out so quickly!
