So although it was market as THE trick that people ask for... "hey, let me see you float... ha ha ha..." and then you could ACTUALLY DO IT!!!??? is that what we got here? I am going to purchase it JUST so I can be in this void of space that everyone else is conveying about this trick. No solid review yet is what Im sayin. And then the VR BS? what? I mean, ive messed around with pills before, e, but this is messed up. Its one thing to be irresponsible in using mind altering drugs and have some weird attitude about "feeling good" but what the hell is this? The red pill or the blue, that's DIRECTLY out of the ma-tricks. I would like to have some knob polishing accomplished virtually, or frolick in the sand with my little toesy wossies, but seriously. This is either a really f'd up video file that causes seisures & a halucinagenic drug, or its complete bs.
I love Steve Fearson as a magician. An !incredible! inventor (99% of em')! and he seems to be a really nice person that seems to be on a new page then the rest of us (at certain times, now) but whats the point to try to come out with crazy stuff, and get reactions, and make people feel like there in an experiment, or whatever... Ill trade a Cigapen for the disapearing secrets file! JUST KIDDING! no I'm not... Whats everyone thinking about this new manuscript, was it just hyped up by us to much, or did he start it? I think he started it (like always, and usually for a good reason)... |

Would you consider adding to your manuscript the old 2 fingers in front of you eyes turn into a mini hot dog trick ? That could be worth DOUBLE the price !!!

Mattisdx! Dude! It's like you can read my mind! My "Vienna Sausage Levitation" is on page 14 of my eBook! Here's my Fearsonesque description of the effect:
"You are about to experience a method for producing matter from nothing, unlike anything the world has known since the Ancients. I am not exaggerating. "I cannot reveal my source or you MIGHT LOSE YOUR MIND! I am not exaggerating. "In moments, you will actually be able to instruct others to produce matter out of thin air -- RIGHT BEFORE THEIR VERY EYES! AND, once they've materialized matter from nothing, they can actually LEVITATE it! "Merely by using the incredible forces that exist in the human aura -- a power every human being has RIGHT AT THEIR FINGERTIPS! -- MORE POWERFUL THAN THE HYDROGEN BOMB! -- you will be able to show ANYBODY, YOUNG OR OLD, how to manifest meat! That's right, MEAT! I am not exaggerating. "Using only the force-fields of the human aura, they will materialize a Vienna sausage RIGHT IN FRONT OF THEIR FACE! THEN MAKE IT LEVITATE WITHOUT ANY VISIBLE MEANS OF SUPPORT! Impossible? Nothing is impossible to those who possess the secrets of the BUILDERS OF THE PYRAMIDS. I am not exaggerating. That's how old this technique is. "No props are required. You start clean and you finish clean. Your subject will be DUMBFOUNDED that you even attempted this. But, believe me, THEY WILL NEVER FORGET YOU! "WARNING: some subjects may suffer such HYSTERIA at your teaching them this ancient method for materializing and levitating a Vienna sausage that they may never speak to you again. But they CANNOT DENY THEIR OWN EYES! even though their ILLUSIONS ARE SHATTERED! "People may think it's a trick. But THIS IS NO TRICK! "I am not exaggerating." Please, Mattisdx, out of professional courtesy, do not divulge this mind-boggling technique that is older than civilizations themselves. Thank you. |

Roberto,
I would be willing to pay you $50,000 USD for the one year exclusive rights for the 'Floating Sausage Trick'. I am a vegetarian, but it sounds too good to be true. Thanks for offering such an awesome opportunity to the magic community... now if only I could find a way to do such an incredible trick with my deck of playing cards - I'm a little short; I only have 21 cards! Oh well... Sincerely, Tony Clifton |

I got it last evening based on two posts.
Pete said "I like it." amd Dave answered simple questions. This will play GREAT as Poltergeist and then the vanish. I plan to do it as a napkins over head type gag in small gatherings. I don't for a second think that Fearson meant anything more than what it is at face value - a thought out impromtu vanish. That he priced it low is irrelevant. The Monkey Vanish is absolutely doable and would sell for thousands if manufactured and sold. My opinion, the Vanish is a worthwhile trick to purchase. |

I think what would help me put perspective on this is if someone could compare it to a couple of other marginal items that I enjoy and have done well with (on that perfect occassion)...but that require just the right conditions and just the right lead-in. I am referring to Finger Fantasies and the Balducci Levitation. These, too, can be done impromptu...can have a great impact...but can easily fall into the category of being just a joke. Would you say that all of these items, including the Self Vanish, are of the same ilk...or is the Balducci and Finger Fantasies a notch up?

Fearson has pulled off a beautiful and very modern scam.
The way it was orchestrated was elegant and stunningly devious. To everyone who has given him money for this lame duck: you may feel bitter now but you may end up happy you were a part of one of the best cons our industry has seen in a long time.
Just a magic lovin dude

Just tried it with someone in my office while standing in the hallway...rather than just stand behind their back, made some quick turns back to my office. Paused long enough to hear "where the **** did he go!" as I slinked away...
Can't see any way to more effectively vanish on an ad-hoc basis (unless you really can vanish)....no issue with price what so ever. |

Gee, Roberto Gee... Roberto... That "Vienna Sausage" illusion sounds awfully imitative of David Blaine's "Teeny Weenie" or was it Wilson's "I Never Sausage A Thing?"
Mattisdx, please don't expose the 21-Card Trick here! It fries me every time I see it and I always like to think of it as "Magic at its finest." Somebody said that Larry, Moe and Curly originated the "Goodbye Vanish" but I've studied their videos over and over again and there are some subtle differences, especially in their marvelous patter and stage presence. Moe's timing and misdirection ("Why you...! Look through that!" "Doh!") and Curly's mind-boggling "Nyuk Nyuk Nyuk" make their lecture notes well worth the $6.95 I paid. |

Wow guys, let's be friends, eh?
I have a rational question. I perform many shows on temporary stages (a la college gymnasiums, where spectators are seated high, low, and to both sides). Is the monkey vanish something I would be able to use in a "set up the table/props and go" sort of show?
If you claimed to have stopped time, I would ask you for how long you stopped it.

I especially loved: "The ingestion of a potentiating herbal compound combined with properly directed sensory input alters the perception of the viewer in such a way that anything outside of the recorded experience disappears and the viewer feels him or herself traveling into the screen until finally you are totally immersed in the video world." I think they already invented that, it's called marijuana. |
