Serioiusly I think Fearson maybe doing some research on human behaviour or some econ or market research etc... he may be doing a PhD thesis on the topic of "the power of goodwill". I am serious. NO kidding.

I just got it. I can see how one of the methods could be used to possibly look good, but this is something that everybody already knows. huron was right, you learned this in preschool, but steve just re-applied it.
the monkey vanish could be good if you do stage work, but I don't so that's not gonna help me. for $7, you get what ya pay for |

I have to disagree with Huron (sorry!)...couldn't resist seeing what this was (for $7).
Even though the basis principle is an old one, its application is an interesting one that may in fact be impactful when tried out. (would assume that anyone commenting at this point hasn't actually tried it) Don't want to comment too much given the open forum, but may be interesting to play with impact when the spectator is standing, vs sitting on a chair, vs sitting on a couch. Again, for $7 I think it presents its money's worth in some creative thinking. |

Thanks for the review and for saving me the seven bucks. I'm ready to vanish alright...as a download magic customer.

I've been waiting for this. Saw the $7 price, and figured it couldn't something all that original. I think I'll wait it out now for more reviews (even thought its only $7).

....Metamorphasis -- an adaptation of the vanish approach - is something that I believe will work beautifully as an imprompto effect and I will definitely use.
Is this stuff groundbreaking....nope. Useful and workable -- especially for the price -- 100% Just my opinion.... (so don't buy/not buy on my account!) Scott |

Just want to give my comments.
Not sure what most of you expected. A visual vanish that is impromptu with no props for the real world? We would all love that but that is not possible. This is the next best thing that is totally practical. I get the feeling that a lot of you are reading the manuscript and basing your opinions on what have just read and NOT from actually trying it. I have tried it on many of my friends and it is simply amazing. The reactions are so funny I wish I had captured them on camera. Steve has come up with a real world instant vanish. Steve, myself and Paul Harris have brainstormed together on this for ages. Between the three of us we are very happy. Try it. How can you say you don't like somethine without trying it? That is what my mom used to say to me about my greens. Yuk! Still don't like them. Best wishes Angelo

SOmetime back, there was a video series out ( I forgot the name even - it was an AS SEEN ON TV thing). It had some pretty good stuffs especially for a beginner. In that series was a trick, where your gaurdian angel will touch you on your shoulder, with the magician apparently not doing anything. Is this Vanish by anychance something like that. I get that impression from reading the posts.

...you wouldn't be fishing for the method, would you? (shared my 2 cents, will leave to others to comment now)

Got it. Love it! New groundbreaking principle? No, but y'know what? I never would have tried it on my own and neither would you have... be honest now! And the bonus "Monkey Vanish" is something that I will build, modify the shiznit out of and actually perform, and I know exactly where I'm going to do it. It's perfect for what I need.
SO... whaddaya get for seven bucks? GUTS, that's what! And for opening my eyes to that insight, I applaud Steve Fearson. It's the third concept in magic marketing: you can sell the apparatus or gimmick (first concept), you can sell the secret (second concept) or you can sell the courage to actually try it (third concept)! It's like being the Cowardly Lion and Steve Fearson is the Wizard of Oz. Go ahead, pay no attention to that man behind the curtain. |

I am the last person on the planet to want to make someone feel uncomfortable about something they said or did...including whining....but come on guys...it's $6.95!
Since I never went to pre-school and barely attended High School, I guess I missed out on all the arcane knowledge that was tossed about... I really enjoyed the e-book...it was well written and the photos lay it out in your face...can't miss. Carbone is right on the money...try it! I read it and did the Poltergiest on the Wife right away...the 2nd time I Vanished. It's a brief 'what the f.' but it works. What more can you ask for? I can't wait to 'get' the gardeners here at the Apt complex...they already cross themselves when they pass by with the lawn mowers (They've looked into the eyes of El Chupacabra!) 7 bucks, not a rip off by any stretch...this will be fun to do on a couple of folks I know at Disneyland as well. But then...I never went to pre School. :) Doug

Let me ask: I realize it's a different effect, but how would those of you who have it rate compared to, say, the Balducci lev , in terms of impromptu-ability, and overall impact ?
Just hanging out with the rest of my fellow dregs.

Well, it cost me just £3.75 to find out what the fuss was all about.
Agree with Xmosis - actually never heard of this stuff before, so it was an entertaining read. Can't wait to try it on my kids. Ok, so it's not a 'knock 'em dead' routine/illusion, but it is fun and I'm not unhappy that I paid such an exhorbitant amount(!) for it. Thanks for the entertainment, Mr Fearson!

So it goes into my "One-on-one" collection which is important because the time will come. There's a lot of extra stuff included, though, as I mentioned, which makes it well worth the seven scooties. |

Imagine being able to vanish and reappear anytime you want to. Well what this misleading little ad doesn't say is that the reappearance, of which there most certainly will have to be one, gives the whole game away and just makes this a bit of a prank, not a trick.
Of course pricing it at $6.95 will make a lot of us think we have nothing to lose but these all add up to a nice little pay back for Steve on a manuscript that could be put together in half an hour. Next time I am tempted on one of these cheap downloads I think I'll just send the money to charity instead.

Well...it could be a Prank if you perform the standard reappearance for more than one person and they are in on the gag when they see you do it...could be some laffs there...laffs are good to go for after all...but IF you try the bit where you re-appear OUTSIDE the window, I think that takes away the 'prank' aspect and creates a 'magical' moment like any other. No?
The assertaion that he wrote it up in a half hour or that anyone could have written it up in a half hour...well...he did it. It's like looking at a piece of modern art with paint splashed on the canvas. I was once at an art exhibit and I commented to Vincent Price (yeah...that one)"I could do that!"...and Mr. Price said "Yes...but he did it." Made an impression I never forgot. (And the artist wasn't even an Impressionist!) Doug

You just can't please everyone can you.
Even if the price is great value you still get complaints. Half an hour? Wishful thinking! Why do we bother? Angelo
