Hi,
I'm not too sure about Mike Finney's style as I haven't seen those DVD's (I would like to though). Bill Malone has a four part series that a lot of the guys seem to enjoy. A lot of card stuff on them, also colour changing knives, Slydini silks and a lot of joking about. The series is called Bill Malone on the loose. Hope that helps |

The Jeff Hobson dvd is really good. However it might just be my luck but I had this on vhs and the sound changed after the beginning ans was very hollow, I did like it so I thought maybe I just got a bad one and picked up the DVD...same thing. If this doesn't bother you then you must get it as the material is very good and very funny.
Did everyone else with the dvd have the same sound problem. |

Not on DVD yet, but my absolute favourite comedy magic video is Tom Mullica from Joe Steven.
Also worth looking at is Don Alan, which I think recently been transfered to DVD.

I will strongly second the Jeff Hobson video as well as the Bill Malone series. Even if you don't use the magic material from either of these, the presentation, timing and interaction with the audience are absolute gold. Well worth any serious performer reviewing.

Hello:
I also recommend the Jeff Hobson tape/DVD. It's probably my favorite tape/DVD. Terry Seabrooke has a video at L&L publishing that you can get for $10, and it's quite good. Ron |

You could possibly go with Gregory Wilson. He has a unique sense of humor that plays well for most crowds. His misdirection plays very well with his humor. Fools me when I watch him perform.

When comedy is the topic, Tom Mullica, Gregory Wilson, David Williamson, David Acer, Jay Sankey and Dan Sylvester come to my mind.

I would strongly suggest looking into Simon Lovell -- his sense of humor is very improvish but with a timing that is impeccable! He also uses his humor creatively to allow him perfect misdirection for even the most obvious of moves.
