Does anyone know about these? I think the series has routines for the Gadabout coins, bill switch etc..
Are these manuscripts worth the small investment? Any recommendations in particular? |

They are worth a lot more!
Once you get one of them, you will want all of them. MoonBeam |

Reading is good. Practicing and performing those routines is better. Learning the lessons offered is best, and the purpose of their being offered.

Ron Bauer not only offers strong presentation scripts in the magic he offers but also teaches lessons as to why the language helps the routine so you will then be able to look at a routine in a different way and appreciate or improve it. He spoils magicians as such strong reasoning in routining isn't so common.
If you do Gadabout Coins, then I recommend his Gadabout Coins Revisited which I've recently lost (crud.) Also, his Gypsy Curse routine is excellent! I've appreciated all of those I've purchased except the Senator's Cut Up Card Trick which just didn't match my style. Some people like it. His scripts are definitely worth $10. I'm waiting for his Nudist Deck script. |

Hello:
I have about a half-dozen of them, and they're definitely worth the money. I like some better than others, but I've been about to gleen worthwhile information from each one. The humor in the booklets doesn't do much for me, but it may fit you and your style of performing. I hope this helps you. Ron |

I can't recommend them enough... they remind me of the early booklets, titled "Willane's Wizardry" -- each disecting and teaching a different trick.
Bauer's methods are as good as they get, and his explanations are perfection. The premises, even if you don't do the tricks the same way, are worth TEN TIMES the price. Get them all and you will learn more than you can any other way.

I agree with Mr. Biro.
Siamese Goose Egg Bag and the Chick Trick are great audience participation pieces that play very well. |

They're wonderful... but. I don't like the way they're written. I find them dificult to read and study. This is just my personal opinion.
IMHO it would be better for him to clearly describe the methods, and put the presentation information in a separate chapter, after I've learned the handling. That's just the way my pea brain learns. everyone's different. You should definitely get at least one of his booklets and try it out.

Use a yellow highlighter. Photo copy the pages and blank out what you don't want on the copies. Have a friend learn the stuff and teach you. Have a friend read to you. There are ways around every problem.
Seriously -- I find it 458 times easier, and better, to learn things with somoene else with you working on the same things.

These are good suggestions Pete. I didn't think of highlighting. I will try that!

Thanks for the feedback. I purchased "Gadabout coins revisited" and "The time machine".
At first I was disappointed with the Gadabout coins because it is essentially the trick that everyone knows. However I read it again a couple of times and have since gleaned good suggestions on presentation and audience interaction. Ed Marlo's Time Machine is absolutely outstanding. |

FYI, if you check out Ron's website, http://www.thinklikeaconjurer.com he has the templates posted for making your own business cards for the Time Machine.
