I didn't think it was short on illustrations. Had enough to convey what it needed to.

It refers you to illustrations which don't exist as it was poorly edited.

Hi,
Yeah! The first day I bought this book, I am disappointed due to shortage of the illustrations. Sometimes, I have to read again and again to understand more better what the text is telling about. If with the aid of illustrations (I mean generally), it can enhance our understanding for that particular effects better. Anyway, I find that this book have to reread again and again so that you can understand them better. Thanks! It is as smum said poorly edited because the book is a collection of smaller books Duffie and Sadowitz did years ago. The written descriptions should be enough though

A fair few incorrect explanations too. Quite annoying when you get so far into an explanation to find that no matter how many times you read you are not in the position you should be. Most of the time you can overcome this using, maybe, a different slight that you know but other times you just can't. Does'nt explain many of the lesser known sleight either, Walton's 'Trigger' move anyone?
