FYI,
My brother and I just took a trip down to Indianapolis IN to visit some family. While on our family trip we stopped in to visit Jack Murry owner of Dream llusions. If you have never had a chance to meet Jack you should defiantly get to know who he is. A great guy with a great sense of humor. We got to see several props of his at the shop....Let me go down the list of what we liked. 1. Jack has a very clean shop. Yes he says it is dirty, but it far from a mess...and in my standards it is very nice. Every tool in that shop has a spot for it special made for it. 2. The Fire Cage...Ok let me tell you pictures just don't do justice for this piece. What an amazing cage this is. The true magic behind this cage was on how fast one can put it together. No nuts or bolts equired. He put this together so quick I was just amazed by that. Everything was custom made and well thought out. Every safety feature was planned precisely. Excellent job on this Jack. Oh and the extra bonus is the price tag. I just want to say this. IF YOU ARE THINKING about getting a Fire Cage then think no more as you have just found it. You want to go through Jack. He doesn't cut any corners on this. And the NO bolt assembly is just pure genius. 3. Quicksilver. This is for the more serious performers out there that perform the larger type of illusions. With that said let me explain a little about this illusion. It is the most compact illusion. Literally packs down in to its own ATA case and plays extremely big...and again NO Bolts. We got to see the automated doors in action and fog machines at work. The aluminum work is fantastic and well put together. The great thing about this illusion is you won’t see anyone else performing it. It is a one of a kind illusion. Heck grab it before someone else does…because it is worth ever penny. Speaking of that after Jack showed us the illusion he asked how much we thought the illusion would go for. Well to say honestly, we were way too high. I am not going too publicly say how much the illusion is as that is up to Jack Murry or Ryan Reed to say. But it is an amazing price and well worth it. Quicksilver was designed by Ryan C. Reed owner of Illusion Entertainment International. This was a well thought out Illusion. And kudos goes to Ryan on this as well. These two gentlemen have created and remarkable piece. Ryan puts a lot of time in designing this llusion and Jack put a lot of time in building this. These two guys are truly amazing. Keep it up and it was great to see this prop. Something that people will remember. Nicely built. If you are serious performers looking for a design and a builder I would suggest contacting both of these gentlemen. They are fantastic and I have to say a JOY to work with. Again it was great to meet you Jack and put a face to the man behind that work. --- Steven Michaels The Mirror Image ---

Yes, Jack does have as nice shop and the Quicksilver is an illusion worthy of looking at seriously.
I have yet to see the fire cage in person as they fly out his shop as fast as he can make them. You should have let us know you were coming thru town. We are in Indy as well. Let us know next time you get to Indy. Kevin & Kristen

Steve & Kevin, Your very kind. Jack simply has done a dam good job at translating the design and made this prop something totally unique and well built. Jack's automation for the prop was custom designed & built (yes. the gears, the control module.....everything) got onboard fog and door controls. I have just been able to see this prop in its near completed stage shortly after Steven. I was blown away. I'm dam glad to have worked with Jack on this project, the final outcome has been completley worth the year pluss process we went through to get it to this point.
As a designer I will have to say that jacks invaluble input, modifications and dedication to the project have made this thing come to life. Without him I don't think Quicksilver DX would have ever seen the light of day. I urge serious performers to check this piece out. Its WELL worth the price alone for the illusion, the breakdown into one case (might be two but we're working on one) Jack really has outdone himself on this piece. So Kudo's to you man, really amazing work. Ok. Enough ass kissing I've got to get back to work. @----',------ Thanks again everyone for the kind words. Jack and I are working on TWO more brand new illusions together so stay tuned for that in the next year or so! best, Ryan C. Reed |

I have to chime in here! Jack built my Kunundrum Kube, and talk about a killer illusion. This is (read this part twice people) the MOST DECEPTIVE vanish of a girl I have seen. I would put it up against any other vanish out there. It can be done surrounded, with no special lighting, and with a REGULAR size girl, not the mini version you find at the mall shopping in the "size 1" section.
Jack built my illusion with all sorts of bells and wistles and did it in under 3 weeks WITH a custom ATA case. I have heard what he is working on for his next project and all I can say is it's going to be killer! Anytime you put a builder like Jack with another pro like Ryan, you're going to have some serious magic come out the door. Looking forward to what's up your sleaves boys. Talk soon, Keith

I have to jump in and add my name to the band wagon of Jack Murray, Dream Illusion enthusiasts. I just received my first product from Jack (The Web) and can't say enough about the quality of this prop. Have read the raving accolades posted on The Café, I decided to reserve judgment for my own experience. Needless to say this is a first class manufacturer and Jack is extremely accessible and responsive throughout. There is no question on the value for the dollar here. And for the record, I was not requested or prompted to post my comments in any way as my opinion is truly unsolicited.

Hi Dan,
I'm pleased to hear you purchased the WEB as I have one traveling at this very minute across the world for me and I can't wait to get my hands on it. I have never worked with Jack in the past but for the moment, I can assure that he is living up to my (hard) expectations as far as customer service goes. he updates me before I even get a chance to ask. that is what I call top notch service. it's not just the products. Will post a review when I receive the WEB. Dani |

Dani,
Your comments mirror my experience as well and others' comments that I have read echoed in other threads on the Café. Every time I was thinking of dropping him an email to check on progress, there would be one waiting in my inbox. I have no doubt of Jack's commitment to quality and customer satisfaction and wish all manufacturers were like this. Good luck! Dan. |

Hey Ryan and Jack,
I think I've heard a few rumors of about this what do ya call it ... "Quicksilver DX" Word on the street is that it's pretty kickass. I bet if I had a piece of equipment like that I'd use it to start my show and get...say I don't know... a solid 15 to 20 seconds of applauding and yelling before I could start talking. But that's just me. |

Jared,
Thanks man, with any luck I'll be doing the show again soon (I hope!) I'm also working with Ryan and Jack again to enhance a couple of the illusions that were in the original show |
