Any suggestions in some patter or routines for this prop would be greatly appreciated. I'm kind of tired of just pulling it out of my bag. Thanks

Once you pull out the pole, shanghai a couple of volunteers to hold one end each of the pole. Cue in some kid volunteers of the following patter: (M)age "Ladies and gentlemen, we have here a candy store. This (point to pole) is the counter, and here is our (P)roprietor (point to cued kid) (how's THAT for a double pun?) LADIES AND GENTLEMEN, THE CANDY STORE SKETCH!" Customer #1 "Hey mister, got any jelly beans?" (P)roprietor "Sorry, we're fresh out of jelly beans." Customer #2 "Got any gum?" (P) "Nope." This goes on for as long as you have some cued customers, or the audience has patience . . . then the FINAL customer asks "You don;t seem to have ANYTHING! What DO you have?" (P) answers "two suckers on a stick". OK, OK, magic it ain't, but the audience always seems to like it. And my last audience for this one was young kids to grandmothers at a Lutheran Church!
