There were some good offerings in This Thread - including Paul Green's from his DVD in the Trenches, and Curis Kam's from Silverado.
Bob Kohler has an excellent one in his notes "Kohler's Tap". If you don't already have them, Doc Eason's Bar Magic video - I forget which volume has his great handling, and James Lewis has a really good one on his Million Dollar Mysteries video. For more recent stuff: Reed McClintock has a nice routine similar to Gary Kurtz Trio-N-Three. Cody Fisher's re-release of his coin magic video in DVD form - it is currently the featured item at the top of the page at http://www.coinvanish.com has a really good CSB routine called Real World CSB. I have a new CSB routine coming out in my Coinvanish Vol. 2 - hopefully by the end of the year called C/S/B Assault. My goals for this routine were primarily: 1. To not tip that I am using any extra coins. 2. To eliminate trips to the pocket and not use coin purse switches. 3. To perform standing, without a table. 4. To use the spectator’s hands. 5. Because of #4, the coins need to be examinable at the beginning and end of the routine. |

Dan,
I have studied all those except the Million Dollar Mysteries video and Gary Kurtz Trio-N-Three. I really hope that your Coinvanish Vol. 2 will come out as soon as possible. Thanks for your informations. |

You should also check Mystery on the (Aztec) Orient Express in John Bannon's Smoke and Mirrors. He borrows the opening move from James Lewis' Foreign Exchange with a subtle modification that, in my opinion, improves it greatly - and it's a great move to begin with!

I learned the original from Haden years and years ago, and it is hard to beat.
Ken Brooke marketed "The Chinese Bit" which has some nice handling. I use the bit where you put the silver on the back of your left hand (having removed it from the fist) and then toss it into the air, catching it in right hand, then open right hand to show Copper and Brass.

Dan -
Your C/S/B Assault sounds like the perfect fix to most of the problems with the CSB routines, especiall the false explanation/reveal of extra coins and the trips to the pocket. I look forward to its release - please send me a PM or add me to your list of interested buyers. THanks. Cheers, Tiki |

Tiki,
I just released the manuscript that contains "CSB Assault". Head to http://www.coinvanish.com, click "Coinvanish Products" and click the image for Coinvanish Volume 2. |

Don't forget the two CSB routines which instead of the regular gaff use a coppersilver coin. The one by Tony Miller is fairly easy but the routine by Scotty York will take some work.

Yuji -- sorry to be late replying... No, never had coins separate. I have changed the coins I use to a custom set with a Morgan Dollar (by Lassen).

Curtis Kam's use is pretty neat to to create a three way transposition (three coins change places from three different locations). It's "Triple Alliance" from Palms of Steel #3. |

Dave Neighbors has a brilliant routine for (standup) coins through the table using the CSB set. If you're gonna have the coins you might as well get some mileage out of them...

Thanks Dan. I will check out your site and look at Coinvanish 2.
Just last month, I purchased John Bannon's book, Smoke and Mirrors. To date, Bannon's CSB routine is the best I have seen. It is a 3 phase, non-repetitive, easy to do, very visual routine. It eliminates the "fake explanation" and showing of the extra coins that the Eason and other routines use. Most importantly, it ends clean and the coins can be examined by the spectators. I look forward to seeing Dan's routine, but until then, Bannon's routine is simply incredible. It can be found only in the book (not the video) titled Smoke and Mirrors. Anyone with a CSB set should check out this routine. Cheers, Tiki |

You might also look at The Coin Collection in Karl Norman - 40 Years at the Forks. It adds an Okito box into the mix.
