...a haunting time travel story about a love so strong, it can overcome the obstacle of time itself.

An unforgettable film that is a tribute to the late Christopher Reeve. Also starring Jane Seymour...

The penny shocked me. Sent me reeling. A classic and understated story. Fond memories.
Will you walk into my parlour? said the Spider to the Fly,
Tis the prettiest little parlour that ever you did spy;
The way into my parlour is up a winding stair,
And I've a many curious things to show when you are there.

Oh no, no, said the little Fly, to ask me is in vain,
For who goes up your winding stair
-can ne'er come down again.

Unfortunately the book was much better. But then that's generally the case.

Hey Payne,

Who is the author of the book? Now you've got me interested in it.

Books are ALWAYS much better!

Thanks!

“84 Charing Cross Road” was written by Helene Hanff -- for more information about her see : http://freespace.virgin.net/angela.garry/hanff1~2.html .

“Somewhere in Time” is based upon “Bid Time Return” (now available as “Somewhere in Time”) by Richard Matheson.

For those interested, other Matheson works turned into movies include "What Dreams May Come", "Stir of Echoes", “The Legend of Hell House” based upon “Hell House”, "The Incredible Shrinking Man" based upon "The Shrinking Man", "The Last Man on Earth" and "The Omega Man" based upon "I Am Legend".

For more info. about Richard Matheson, look into http://home.earthlink.net/~sitman/index.html .
