I have noticed that there are 2 (and I am sure more) models of doves to rabbit. Can anyone tell me which one is better, are they both the same? Daytone magic has one at a good price but I am not sure if it will hold up. Any thoughts?

Hi Todd,
I have a Chalet model on a Eureka base. I have been using it for at least 20 years in 100's of shows. The felt gets a little ripped up over time from the bunnies, but overall it has stood up and performed excellently. All the best, Rob |

I would also recommend Chalet. That's the one I am wanting someday.

Oz Illusions made my new one.
And what a super job Chris made of it too. It will compare well to Any other model. http://www.ozillusions.com |

Lucy and I have three Chalet Doves to Rabbits. Two are on Eureka bases (travel best) and one on a rolling base. I actually prefer the rolling base. I have been using them since the 70s. I have looked at other brands and they just make me glad I have the Chalets. They will hold up for 1000s of shows and still look good and always work!

We made Bird to Rabbit from, can you gues? Plastikard using quarter inch square strips of wood as supplied by the local D.I.Y. store to strenthen corners etc where they do not impede the slide. It is based on the Jack Hughes model which weighed nine pounds and our Plastikard model weighed less that three pounds. We strenthened corners by using Sticky floor tape as used to mark floors in Gymnasiums, and covered with reflector paper. In this version is you put the dove into the prop through a hole in the front door, remove a nail or wire from the rear and the dove container slides down and the rabbit which was sitting on top of the dove chamber comes into view when you open the front door. The prop is gable shaped. 0.80 Plasticard is used. It lasted us twenty years and is still being used by the new owner. For further info on Plasticard see Run Rabbit in The Little Darlings. Eric,
You need to write a book with details for building all these wonderful props. Regan
