If you don't use testimonials or don't need testimonials or don't want testimonials, please POST HERE.

This question is to help magicians who want help learning why many magicians don't use testimonials.

Question,

Why don't you use letters and testimonials?

Why do you NOT you ask for testimonials?

If you are starting to work in a new market why would you not want to use testimonials?
* for example, if your just starting out doing school shows.

If you don't use testimonials or don't need testimonials or don't want testimonials, please read and answer this post.

Tell you what Ron, let me answer a question with a question. If you'd traded full time pro. since September 1980 (part time 78-80), and the work had always (apart from a nasty early 90s recession bite) come in. Would you be looking to other angles to get the work in?

I honestly believe this whole issue to be a clash of cultures and societies. I've nothing against testimonial letters. If someone started a trend towards this in the UK then so be it, - we could fill a case with them in no time! But why 'fix it' if it 'ain't broke'?

By POSTING HERE though I do not submit to any of your three categories, as all three are not relevant to our circumstances. It's a bit like asking me: "what have got got against Viagra because you don't use it"? My reply would be the same: "already empowered".
Tony.

I think this topic is getting petty now Ron. Maybe it's time to move on.

I agree with Billy....

Its not exactly a highly complex moral or ethical issue is it?
