Talk about being ready. I was at work the other day and walked by our training coordinator and another employee who where having a discussion. They must have been talking about a class that was comming up, as when I walk by the training coordinator said Loudly "we can have Craig do some magic" The training coord had seen me perform but the other employee had not and didn't know I was a magician. I stoped and the employee's expresion and comments indicated he didn't belive the training coord. He then said he did one magic trick that he does for his son when his son has friends over. He then took a kleenix and stuffed it in his closed fist, pointed at his fist and pulled the kleenix out of the bottom of his fist. Joke, he laugh and said his son hates it when he does that. He then gave the kleenix to me and asked if I could do that trick. I happend to have a TT in my pocket and had my hand in the pocket. I palmed the TT and proceded to stuff the kleenix into my fist into the TT. I then removed the TT from my fist, then look at the employee and said " sorry I don't seem able to do that trick" and opened my empty hand. His jaw dropped and for the next few he kept repeating " You did it for real!"
That was priceless. By the way they paid me to perform at break durring the class they held.

Hi,
I enjoyed reading your story and it's amazing isn't it how sometimes pure luck is on our side? The fact that you had a TT in your pocket and could follow up on what was happening at the moment...ah well pure karma! Chrystal |

I agree. Sometimes it is incredible how people can set you up perfectly for an effect.
Why just this evening after doing some magic tricks for my neighbours daughter, her mother said to me "you should have a business card". Of course, I pulled out my card and it burst into flames. Shook them out and handed it too her. She said: "Oooh... and it's still warm!". She then asked if I was willing to perform at her daughters birthday party. |

I am a regular restaurant performer. One of my effects is standard sponge ball routine "2 in hand, 1 in pocket; jumps to make 3 in hand". I repeat twice. On last repeat I sometimes substitute 1 large ball for the return of 3. Before spectator opened hand to reveal last large ball load, the person sitting next to them remarked "Ok..ok...it's three again. Let's see you blend them together into a great big one!" Who could ask for a better set-up?!

Having a tt handy at all times is something I try do as accolmbel mentioned. I get the same reaction at work as a lot of fellow workers don't know I do magic. But I have really have to learn to always be prepared for impromptu magic. Thanks for the drive to do it
