Although Mike Brazil includes great "happy face" load balls with the Little Don's, I just came across some perfect sized Mini Tennis Balls at the Powell Bookstore in PDX airport. They are larger than the "happy face" balls and fit the Little Don perfectly. They come in three two toned color schemes: orange/yellow, green/yellow, blue/pink. They also fit the Riser Mini cups but stick a hair out the bottom so they could only be used when working on a pad. They are too big for the RNTII Foxy I's but might fit the Foxy II's (I don't have a set of those...yet).
If you're interested they are made by a company called Toysmith out of Auburn, Wa. and the packaging lists them as 47mm Tennis Ball Item #2688.

These are basically the same balls that I mention in various reviews. You can get them in pet stores as "Tuffballs" and "itty bitty balls."

And you don't have to pay for that expensive airport parking, either. Check PetSmart, Petco, and Wal-Mart.

Re final load for the Mini Don, I must admit, I don't fancy the ones supplied.. Smile

They are *blue*, which isn't even a colour I fancy and look a bit cheap to me..

What I use for the Morrisey Mini are chrochet covered rubber/syntetic balls in yellow and red, the Mini Don though can take slightly larger ones then the Morrisey, so I have to get 'somebody' to chrochetcover the ones supplied..

The smiley is nice, but the color (blue) I dislike.. Smile

Werner - If you like the ball but not the color check back with RNTII. When I ordered my "little Don" I was given a choice of what color load balls I wanted. I got yellow but I remember there was also red and hot pink.
You also might like the mini tennis balls I was referring to.

Bill is right on target with his suggestion to check the pet stores for load balls. There is a good selection of sizes and designs. I've seen those mini tennis balls in the two-tone colors, and in the plain bright yellow like a regular tennis ball. They also have some like very large, oversized tennis balls that might work great for large cups like the Gazzo's. I haven't checked for the fit. Make sure to look in the aisle of dog toys and the aisle of cat toys. There are likely to be some different choices in each.

The mini tennis ball types seem to come in the two color version and in various single colors. Sometimes they have a logo printed on them. I've seen some with little dog paw prints stamped on them. My favorites are just plain yellow with no logos or printing at all. At my local Petsmart the plain colored ones come in 2-packs for dogs, and are flavored in peanut butter or mint. I haven't tried the peanut butter. Smile

The peanut butter ones stick to the roof of your cup.

Just kidding.

Thanks!

I'll change my signature block!!

Let me add this -- the smiley face load balls may look cheap. They ARE cheap -- they are FREE! You can't get any cheaper than that.

Actually, here's the situation. Mike has decided to include load balls with as many of his cups as he can. He wants the purchaser to have a complete working set as soon as he gets the package. I like this idea, myself.

That's why I include load balls with every set of cups and balls I sell off my web site. They may not be the set of loads you will use in your own routine, when you get it finalized, but at least you will have something to work with.

And that's a good thing.

We're trying to expand our load balls to crochetted load balls with each set, but we are in heavy production of crochetted balls for the cups themselves. We have several more crocheters joining us so hopefully in the near future all sets will include crochetted balls as well as some of our new baseball loads we have been developing.

The load balls in my mini chop is a glow in the dark eyeball. My routine calls for it. I get them from Oriental Trading.

Oriental Trading Company? I know that place Smile

I use RNT II's final load for the Black Beauty Cups. It's a large red knit ball. Although I am thinking about using a spongeball, and moving into a spongeball routine.

Since Rik mentioned OTC, they sell a mini teddy bear perfect for a final load. I've used them before, but find that the ladies want to keep the bear. Not bad for a giveaway, but too many bears to carry with me.

There are a couple of solutions to that one. If you are working for a sponsor, get them to purchase the bears. Then, when you go out on a gig, carry a briefcase full of bears with you. Leave that in your "private space." Then, between tables go back to the breifcase and put a few more bears into your pockets.

Those fuzzy "tribble" type giveaways that were popular at trade shows a few years back make great loads, too.
