I order a DVD from penguin the other day, Splitting Cards with Marty "Martini" Grams. This is a wonderful DVD it teaches how to make lots of gaffed cards. It is worth all 30.00 dollars you will pay for it. Consider this, your NFW tears up and you need a new one. You pull out this DVD review card splitting and make a new one. Or how about you Twisted Sisters get a bend in it. Thanks to Martini you can make a new one and a couple extra set too! Very well worth it! I will post the link later.

I gather you like it Ty. I have it but haven't gotten around to watching it yet. Mine came from Martini himself.
http://www.martinismagic.com/ He has the DVD's, though not currently listed on his web site. For those that prefer book to DVD, the book Lickety Split is available there. Paul. |

Yo Ty, try out the Hofzinser card that marty teaches how to make, it is a killer cool item. If you ever get the chance to see the lecture live, do it, there is a lot more cool stuff that he goes into as well.
Marty is also very helpful if you have any questions or need any help, just give him a shout, great guy. S. |

What materials do you need to make gaff cards?

You don't need a knife or anything? If there is no special equipment to buy, this DVD sounds AWESOME!

Well, don't forget the glue to stick the split cards back together! But other than that, pretty much. I also highly recommend this dvd. By making your own gaffs, you can change any gaffed effect to use your favorite card, come up with new effects, retool old ones, and much more. Plus, your effects feel much more personal and much less like something you bought in a store. At least for me, they do.

Yo, Paul, I meant to say this a while back...Great job on Small But Deadly. I found out about your book at marty's card splitting lecture when he held up the book and highly recommended that people contact you to buy it. He was so right, it is Excellent!

What about Todd Lassen's alignment fixture? Part of my problem is squaring up the pieces accurately. Has anyone seen or used one of these?

Alignment is critical. I used to make lots of gimmicked cards and really could have used a jig. I have not seen Todd's alignment fixture but I'll bet it's a precision piece of gear judging from his coin work.

Where can I find information about Todd Lassen's alignment fixture? I don't have any problems with full face and back gaffs but half and halfs and diagonals are more of an alignment problem. A jig would probably be very helpful.
