I'm a fresh graduate student holding an MA Human Resource Management degree currently UNEMPLOYED! During this period I'm learning magic as a hobby! I found this is a powerful tool to pull girls ! :good luck:

Will be going back to Hong Kong in December to find a proper job and carry on with my magic journey.

About twice a year I work as a "standardized patient" for the University of Colorado Health Sciences. I "act" as a patient for medical students in communication and patient examinations for both training and medical exams. If you saw the Seinfeld episode with Kramer as a patient for the medical school you have a comical (yet close) example of what goes on.

I am technically a full-time student even though it is a a community college, so it doesn't really count. I recently became employed by an improv comedy troupe as well.

By day, I am a machine/controls design engineer. By night I am a semi-pro Kid Show Magician, except on Sunday mornings when I am tied up behind a pulpit. (That could be a new trick or message.)

I 'm also in development (with a partner) of a new gospel magic manufacturing company.
In my spare time I am a competitive shooter.

When I'm not busy with the above, I like to play with the three grandkids or just waste time on the web.

For work: I'm the guy that has all the realy great and important ideas. My job is to make everyone else believe that the ideas are theirs. I do this very well. Everyone knows deep down that they are realy mine, and I never tell that they came from me. So basicly they keep me around to get ideas that make everyone look good. When I'm not doing that I sit in an office and troubleshoot the networking for a few hundred computers, all over the world. I saved em 6 million in less than a year, and I'm getting ready
for my next hat trick right now.....

I know it sounds ****py but its very rewarding, since I do it so well.
...think not that all wisdom is in your school. You may have studied other paths, but, it is important to remember that no matter who you are or where you come from, there is always more to learn.

I would like to bring this back to the top, for a while. There are tons of new people here and it would be great to hear from you!

Since I started this topic, I have been promoted to Nurse Manager at my hospital. No more scrubs for me! Now I wear casual clothing that lends itself nicely to having a trick of some kind in my pocket all the time.

Factory work. Printing, binding and saddle stitching to be precise.

I have a degree in business, but live in an area that is suffering greatly from the tech bubble popping -- and to complicate things further my emphasis is in marketing.

So, depending on where you live -- we do stuff for areas all over the US and Canada -- I may have put together your phone book, college schedule or game and fish booklets.

As far as magic goes, I do occasional shows, but nothing even remotely steady as I don't charge anything at this point and only perform when work (lots of overtime), family, and related responsibilities leave a convenient gap.

I do daydream about going pro, but am not ready to leave the financial comfort of my sweat shop at this time.

I work for World Wrestling Entertainment as my main gig.

I teach art to kids on Saturday mornings.

I do magic shows and balloon twisting - maybe 3-4 gigs a month.

I run deliveries for my parents consignment shop.

I take care of my wife and my new baby boy.

Occasionally I sleep.

I'm a technology coordinator/database admin/network admin/programmer/web designer for a non-profit organization that helps kids graduate high-school and get into college. So I spend all day fixing stuff and reading BBSs like magic Café.

I just gave up my £30,000 job for a laugh. Who is laughing now!!! Not me.
I am just going to change trades from Film/Tv into structured networking. this will more than double my wage if I find a new job.
I take risks on a regular basis and this is normal for me. Plz don't give up your secure job like me. I know ppl want my skills and I will have no trouble getting the work I require.
