Hi all.
Received JB Magic Newsletter this morning - advertising new effect called Perfect world. Its another Out of this world technique, but this time they say you can have the deck shuffled, And the spectator deals two piles and onw pile is black cards and on is red. Apparently its as straight forward as that! Hmmmm. Me thinks there is something thy are not telling us, although I may be wrong! Has anybody seen this effect in action, or heard or read or even used this effect? I am always looking for the ultimate Out of this world approach. Cheers Paul |

That sorta fits the description of Paul Harris' "Galaxy," where you can also have the deck shuffled by the spectator and the cards end up separated.
But, I'm useless, and can't tell you anything about the trick you're talking about |

A guy from Derby named Ian Baradell is the originator, I believe.

Speaking of out of thisd world, there is a real cool version that I am not sure is still available, but I purchased from hank lee called "Way out Of this World."
It's pretty simple in concept. Harris' Galaxy, as mentioned, is also excellent.
The difficult must become easy, the easy beautiful and the beautiful magical.

Imagine an OOTW where right after the spectator dealing the cards,( I know if Lennart dealt them he could pull this off) the cards could be immediately spread ( no trickery) and all the reds where seperated from the blacks)
Would that be possibele? |

James Randi has a nice version using a stripper deck. After the deck has been shuffled you cut/strip the cards and you are set.

I went to JB Magic yesterday and saw them demonstrate Perfect World. The cards are shown to be mixed and cut into 2 piles. The spectator then shuffles each pile. The cards are then seprated into red and black as per OOTW.The cards to be dealt can be shown at any time to be mixed. The end result is the same all the reds together and all the blacks together. Its very clever but not cheap.I think is about £30

Hi All
I am the originator of "Perfect World". It's an idea I came up with some time ago and my good friend Mark Mason has done an excellent job of making it a reality. It isn't cheap but then how often have you spent £10 to £20 on something that has spent its life in the bottom of your magic drawer? I don't believe "Perfect World" will. I'm obviously biased but it's a real killer and it's so easy to do. I hope you all like it? Best regards Ian Barradell |

I would like to know Mr Masons definition of a -regular deck as it states in his hot list.

Just put yourself in HIS position as a performer. How many times have you spouted '...a regular deck...' to a spectator - and the deck is anything but.
So his definition would be '...looks normal to the observer...' Dr. Zordas |

Don't single out mark mason for saying "regular deck".
Alakazam does the same ;-) I know Perfect World looks good on paper and hopefully the video goes up on the website soon. I suspect that dr zordas has the method pegged |
