Hi all. I recently purchased sparkle flash, and for those of you wondering, I'm quite pleased with it.
However, I'm having a hard time getting it to light consistently. I'm suspecting I'm simply loading the cotton wrong or not using the proper amount of cotton. If anyone has any tips, please feel free to respond at this post, private message, or email me at ptm1109@aol.com Thanks, Peter

I bought a flash paper?wool canon that you can add sparkle dust too.
It was a while ago but I remember Sean Taylor told me how to load it, I don't actually use the canon (it really scares the heck out of me) but if no one posts info contact sean at http://www.taylorsmagicshop.com send him an email, I wouldn't experiment until you find out more info, I'm assuming you are putting it in a cannon but be careful cheers, David Welzman |

One day I asked him if he ever had any trouble with the outlet as I reached down to jiggle the faceplate and hit the sparkle flash. He won't go near it now. Once in a while I'll say "hey plug that lamp in for me" but he won't get near it..LOL. I had a bit of trouble at first too. The most important thing is, of course, to get the spark. You can pack it pretty full of cotton but you have to make sure its going to spark. First I would suggest just practice with the lighter in your hand with no cotton. Get the right grip and really press with your thumb on the wheel. Make sure you can get a good spark every time you hit it. Then add the cotton, it will go.

Thanks for the help guys. I've been practicing with it more and more and can finally get it where I'm comfortable. Tommorow is going to be my first test run with it on real people. Wish me luck!

If you liked sparkle flash keep your eye out for a new Jim Pace item being released soon, it blows all other fire systems out of the water. Hows this for improvements to sparkle flash: Silent, 100% success rate, holds cotton for length of time before actually igniting(don't have to put it on right before like with sparkle)

I do pre-load it, I put a piece of cotton in there in the morning and in 3 or 4 months it has only come out once or twice. But I can't wait to see the next generation. Vandy

Hi all!
The Igniter has been a scarey success. I sold every one at my first mid west lecture this month. For those who would like to know more, the gimmick will shoot into your sleeve or in your jacket. Like Sparkle flash it holds flash paper or flash cotton. It is electric(9volts). It comes with 3 effects. Produce a rose from flash paper, produce your business card on fire, and create sparks from your fingertips. I created this because I have always wanted to be able to light flash paper without any visible means. Imagine just holding a piece of paper and having it explode with just you looking at it. Or touching a fantasio candle with your fingertip...it lites! For stage workers as an opener you could have a piece of string visibly ignite on its own and cahnge into a silk scarf. After each of these effects you can show your hands empty as there is nothing left in your hands! This is expensive. At $125 I will only have small expectations. I will be showing them at Blackpool this year for those who go. Jim

My product does not use a pull. Really (hint, hint) and does not use a standard glow plug wich can fowl after much use. The unit that you hold onto which disappears is only 2 1/2" long and 3/8 x 1/8 thick. That is powered by a nine volt inside your jacket.
Matt, Please make sure you say Hi! Jim
