I haven't purchased yet, but I will. It looks like an improvement on the "Two Dollar Bill Tear" that I learned from Ammar. By improvement, I mean, it looks smoother, quicker, less "Moves", and looks cleaner at the end. At least that is what I perceive from the video.
Don't get me wrong, I like the Two Dollar Bill tear, and have used it often, but this looks ultra sleek.

Im wondering how clean this is--how cleanly can you really show the bills during the performance? How about before? How about after?

The video used no cut away shots, so I think it's probably safe to assume that what you see on the demo is pretty much what spectators see in the real world, providing you practice the effect well.
Looks pretty clean and open to yours truly.

Jaymz,
There are a few reviews up for 2 dollar window over at penguin's forums if you want to take a look at them. There were some people that claim that they have come up with a handling of the effect (In the PO forums) that let's you cleanly show both bills at the end of the effect. You should do a search over there and you'll find what you're looking for hopefully. |

Why is this being sold? It is not new. You should already know the pros and cons....and the method from watching the video.

Just watched the video and dug out an old $2 bill and made the set-up - it seemed pretty self-explanatory after 1 viewing. That being said, I like it much better than the Dyna-Switch method and if one wasn't already familiar with the principle it looks like it'd be a reasonable purchase as it also includes the forum that might give you more ideas. It's an effect I'd actually use.

Jaysin's handling on the demo (Penguin) is well done. Its in your face and no camera "magic."
I already have Hundy 500 so I may have to break out a $10 and get this cause it packs smaller and its a 2 into 1 effect. It is also found in the book called The Little Giant Encyclopedia of Card and Magic Tricks (Making Money pg 395) but I like the PO section of Penguin.

This is an old trick but it is well taught and worth the ten bucks. Also no TT is involved which is a plus for me.
I carry this with me all the time. Beware before you buy that this is available somewhere in print (BoBo's or Mark Wilsons book) so it can be had cheaper but the video instructions is worth the price for something you'll use often. Brian |

If it explains some sweet moves and handlings then its worth it. I saw some other magician do it, Michael Ammar I think. It may be a better value to find his dvd with the trick, and you'll get more out of it. I was going to say this is similiar to the mismade bill.

I bought htis from Penguin a while back. It is an old principle, but very effective trick. If you havent bought it yet, get it, I think you will love it.

I've read a lot of reviews on quite a few bill-transformation effects. Two Dollar Window is the only one I've come across that leaves you pretty clean. I will occasionally change the two dollar bill into two-one hundred dollar bills for a "Hundy 200" effect.
I recently bought Hundy 500. It is an impressive effect, but you aren't clean when you finish. |

There are always those EAGLE eye spectators that notice small stuff like this. Some will want to see the bill you refuse to allow them to examine. When I finish Two Dollar Window, I can hand out both one dollar bills. The two-dollar bill is long gone. I am completely clean because specs can't examine a bill that somehow vanished. |

True kevvy, this is possible, but not without "ditching" - and this has to be accomplished with your own application to the original. -e-

True, the ditch is fairly easy to do, since you have great misdirection when the two(now ungim. bills) handed out.
As for Slow-Burn, after a couple of tablehopping gigs I bought myself a Z wallet so I always could hand out the duplicate ungim. set at the end. You could say I like routines who ends "clean".. -e-
